More pictures

First of all, if you want to make your own blog header and need tips, I used this tutorial. It seemed pretty easy to follow. :)

I got the rest of Gunner's 6 month pictures back yesterday. Here are a few of my favorites.

Ok so maybe there was more than a few, but I can't help it. My kids are beautiful! :)

Happy Thursday!!!

Another day, another year!

Yesterday was my 26th birthday. I was 26 on the 26th. We all know that only happens once in a lifetime. Some say it's supposed to be your "golden year." We shall see I guess.

My day started with a "Happy Birfday, mama!" from by boys bright and early!!!
(Obviously this was the best part of my day!)

Then....
a new purse from my SIL and nephews

 and...
a TJ Maxx gift card from my MIL & FIL.

A card and some $$$ from my mom and dad.

and of course lots of texts and calls making it feel like a HAPPY birthday!!!

The family celebrated last week on Wednesday when we went bowling and then again on Friday night when we got together and grilled out. Friday night was our last night with GG before she flew back home Saturday morning. We really enjoyed her while she was here. So did the kiddos. We pretty much rested most of the day on Saturday. Gunner has been having some issues that were diagnosed yesterday as reflux. This has led him to be pretty fussy the past couple of weeks and has also led him to not eating his formula. I called DR. C yesterday and told him about all his symptoms and he said it definitely sounded like reflux. So he called us something in and hopefully it helps. I'm starting to think he's had reflux since day 1. And that might be the cause to all his past/present problems/sicknesses. Keeping our fingers crossed! :) Anyways, since Gunner bear was so fussy Saturday I told Jordan we had to get out of the house for the afternoon. Once everyone was up from naps we headed to Applebees and the grocery store. Gunner really enjoys getting out and he really likes the stroller. Him and Tuff both were really good the whole time. Sunday morning I worked on Gunner's baby food supply for the month. Making my own baby food is definitely rewarding but also VERY time consuming. The good thing is, one morning or afternoon in the kitchen a month is all I need. Sunday afternoon Tuff and I headed to church for dinner and a talent show.
"cool dude" sportin his shades on the way to church

We left brother at home with Daddy since I knew we'd be gone later than Gunner's bed time. We really enjoyed the talent show. Tuff and all his cousins, especially. They played and danced and had so much fun!

Tuff had his appointment with the allergist yesterday morning. I will post more about his appointment when we get the results. Which should be about 3-5 business days. So probably sometime next week.

I decided to re-do my blog myself. It was time for a little update. Obviously I went a little more basic. I might try to do a little more tweeking when I have time but for now, I'm in love with the header. :)

Happy Tuesday, friends!!!

Gunner Blake- 7 months

Our sweet Gunner bear turned 7 months old last Friday!!!

He truly lights up my world!!!

and I'm in love with his sweet personality.

I can NOT believe how fast time flies. Is he really 7 months old??? I can't believe how big he looks in all these pictures! Here's a little bit of what Gunner Blake has been up to the past month!

  • He is wearing size 12 & 18 month clothing.
  • He is wearing his last pack of size 3 diapers! He has been ready for size 4 for quite some time but we were using up all our 3's before we made the switch. His little legs are so chubby.
  • He is eating, eating, eating. All the time. He LOVES his baby food but has seemed to lost interest in his formula the past week. I'm a little worried he might not be getting all he needs from the formula so I'm planning on calling the DR about that today. My understanding is 24 ounces in 24 hours and he isn't even coming close to that.
  • He has been enjoying some table food. He'll pretty much eat anything we give him. So far he likes pizza, butter toast, marinara sauce, any kind of bread, roll, or biscuit, noodles, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, rice, grits and vanilla ice cream!
  • He has been sitting up SO well. Good enough where I feel comfortable enough to sit him down to do something without having to prop pillows behind him. :)
  • He is still SO happy & smiley all the time. I hope his attitude never changes.
  • He loves attention. From anyone at anytime! :)
  • He has started grabbing things and playing with them. He really likes balls. Just like big brother did at his age. Last night he was picking them up and throwing them.
  • He's still sleeping in his crib and doing pretty wonderful in there. He still wakes up alot wanting his paci. I'll be so glad when he can get it and put it back in his self. The funny thing is... he doesn't even like the paci unless he's sleeping. And he only sucks it until he falls asleep and then he immediately drops it. Which means any time he wakes up throughout the night, he calls for mommy to come put it back in :)
  • He loves, loves, loves his big brother. He laughs so hard at him for really no reason at all. No one can make him laugh like Tuff can. Tuff is so sweet with him. He calls him "brother Blake" instead of Gunner Blake. LOL
  • No words yet... But yesterday I had him sitting in his crib while I cleaned up his room a little and when I went over to get him and put my hands out he reached out to me for the first time. I pretty much melted!!!
  • He loves to watch Bubble Guppies. HA! This is really the only show we've seen him be interested in yet.

Gunner Blake,
We love you more than anything! You have blessed us beyond belief these past 7 months. We look forward to many, many more to come!!!!
Happy 7 months sweet boy!!!!

Busy, Busy

We have been busy, busy this week with GG being in town. I have had to work every day except yesterday so we've been trying to spend as much time with her outside of work that we can. Monday night we grilled out. I posted some pics from that here.

Tuesday night ...

...was everyone's frist time to the Opry. We all really enjoyed it.

We didn't get home until late on Tuesday night so it took us a while to get around on Wednesday. We met up at 3:15 for some bowling for mine (26th) and Tori's (13th) birthdays. They wanted to do something for us while Granny was in town. We are also planning on cooking out and doing cake and ice cream tomorrow afternoon.

Tuff loved bowling :)

Life is Good!

"Why Yes Dove, I think I will!"

Sometimes you need simple reminders like the picture above. I say simple because that is a wrapper from a piece of Dove chocolate I enjoyed earlier :)

Our weekend was fun and busy! Friday night we went to open house at Tuff's school for next year's enrollment. Tuff ran around like he owned the place. Definitely an improvement from the beginning of his year. He has grown to love "school" so much. He knows all his colors, numbers, most shapes and he's been singing lately. "School" has been SO good for him. Dada (what Tuff calls Ada) might be going to his school next year so Tuff wanted to go and show her around. We were there about an hour, got dinner after and headed home. On Saturday Gunner woke up not feeling good so we missed a birthday party we were supposed to attend. (Sorry Tara!) Jordan has been sick so I sent him to the DR and he came home with 3 different meds, one including an inhaler because he has sinus infection & bronchitis. I was afraid Gunner might be getting bronchitis again because his cough was horrible. It was a very pretty day on Saturday so after naps we decided to take a walk to a creek close by. Gunner LOVES the stroller so every time I took his picture, he was hamming it up.

Tuffy enjoyed throwing rocks off the bridge into the water

 Our view

Gunner had a rough night Saturday into Sunday morning so we got up and headed to the DR first thing Sunday morning. He said he didn't have bronchitis yet but since he was wheezing and coughing he wanted to go ahead and get him some abuterol to hopefully catch it in time. Thankfully. I'm so glad he doesn't have bronchitis but I still hate that he is feeling some bad. He also said to expect lack of sleep from meds. Yay for us! He was coughing/waking/crying/whining a lot last night but we made it. (we always do.)

My Granny flew in yesterday morning and I am so excited to get to spend some time with her this week. I hate that I can't spend the whole week with her but I have to work. I did get Wednesday off so I could spend the day with her and we are also going to the Grand Ole Opry tomorrow night which I'm pretty excited about.

We celebrated the twins birthday yesterday. Well, me and Tuff did. We left daddy and brother behind since both are sick. It was a rainbow theme and all of my sister's hard work definitely paid off. The only negative was it being about 105 degrees. OK. Maybe it was only 85 degrees but it sure felt like 105. HA! I was my sister's photographer (with her camera) so I'm not in any of these pictures. Which isn't really a bad thing.
