A simple kind of weekend....

The title pretty much sums up our weekend. Friday night we ended up skipping the last home football game. It was just too cold to have Tuff out in. We went to dinner at Applebee's and headed to Wal-Mart for groceries. Saturday morning we had breakfast and headed over to BaBa's for hair cuts. Tuff played while mama and daddy got hair cuts.
Baba bought him this witch hat last year for Halloween

After hair cuts we headed home to rest before Amanda's cook out. We went over there around 6 and had hamburgers, garlic potatos, mac and cheese, and baked beans. It was YUM. We were SO tired Saturday night though. We didn't stay long after we ate before we headed home and pretty much went straight to bed.

Sunday morning BaBa picked up buddy for church. We got a little time to ourselves to relax and get lunch together. It was nice. My Nana got married Sunday afternoon at 4. It was a nice, simple wedding.

And the best for last, MY sweet family.

Once we got home, Daddy laid down for some last minute rest before having to go back to work and mama and Buddy played... and played... and played! :) I love some quailty play time with baby boy....

Our weekend

Homecoming week took place last week in Cannon Co. Every year during this week, they have a parade on Friday afternoon with all the class floats, sports floats, and students. I wasn't able to get the time off so mom thought it'd be a good idea to take buddy. She said he was a really good boy and he seemed to enjoy the parade. Here are a few pictures of him soaking up the fun...

I told mom to get some pictures of Dalton while she was there and she got 2. I guess that's better than nothing. He looks mad in both these pictures but I think the sun was in his eyes and of course, Tuff is looking away from the camera.
Dalton is in the middle standing behind the short kid :)

Sweet boys ;)

Friday night we went to the football game. It was freeeeeezing. I had poor little Tuff all bundled up. He had to of been warm except his poor little hands... they were cold. Of course, he didn't seem to mind at all. He was such a good boy. He gets better and better at each game. Too bad it's almost over and then basketball starts up. Oh me. We'll have to train him in the inside atmosphere then. I can't even begin to imagine how that's going to go. Here are a few pics from the game...

Getting ready to head home...

The rest of the weekend was somewhat laid back. Saturday morning we got up and headed to the grocery store. After we got home and got all the groceries put away, Tuff laid down for a snoozy. Me and daddy watched a little bit of football and had some lunch. We also cleaned the house a bit. Once Tuff woke up I headed to get the boys, Dalton & Courtland. Sydney (our niece) was having a birthday party at 6:00 and we were taking the boys since their mom was still running errands. We only stayed at the party for a little over an hour. There were lots of kids there and Tuff was just too little to be running around under them all night. I didn't get any pictures since we were there such a short time. We invited Amanda & Rodger over to cook out later that night so they came over once we got home from the birthday party. We grilled some steaks and hung out for a while. Everyone was tired so they left around 11 and we all headed night, night. Sunday was a LAZY day. It was nice!!! I was looking foward to at least one lazy day this weekend. We all slept in until 8:30. I cooked pancakes for breakfast and then we all laid down for a nap about 11:30. We all slept til about 2, had lunch, and watched Curious George, twice! :) I was amazed how Tuff picked Curious George out of all of our dvd's on the dvd stand (we have ALOT). He even laid there and watched the whole movie. I made lasagna for dinner and then we played until bed time...

Jordan had a "spook house" when he was little. Carolyn found it the other day and we have decided to give it to Tuff. We have it on his dresser in his room for Halloween decor.

In the light

Tuff LOVES all the Halloween decorations. He just goes on and on "talking" about them and pointing to them constantly. We have a witch on the inside of the door that cackles when you touch her. I think she's his favorite. He likes to hit her to make her cackle and he also gives her some of those sweet kisses he has. ;)

While we were playing in his room last night, I got a few pictures. He also is sporting his new "road racer" pj's in these pictures.

Sweet boy

And... this is buddy's latest trick, CLIMBING. He wants to climb on EVERYTHING.

Accomplished! :)

While changing the sheets on baby boy's crib tonight, we noticed this....

Can you tell what this is???? Apparently buddy's been chewing on the rail while he's standing up on the side of his crib. This picture shows the damage from his TEETH. UGH! This was an expensive crib. It's also convertible so once it makes into a full size bed, this rail will be at the end of the bed where it shows the most. I don't know what to do about this or have any ideas on how to stop it. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know!

I know this was a long post with lots of pictures but I thought I'd end it with this sweet video of our baby boy. Watch closely, at the end as he's looking and pointing up, he says "CAT." His new favorite word. :)

Happy Monday!

Looking foward to...

A calm, relaxed weekend. It should be nice to have one of those since we have been so busy the past month or so getting ready for the wedding. Dalton's homecoming game is tomorrow night but after that, we have no definite plans. Which is nice. I'm excited about having a Saturday to ourselves... for our sweet family of 3, football, and maybe a few naps thrown in. ;) I have to admit, I'm looking foward to it!

Not much has been going on since we tied the knot. I still have some picking up/cleaning up to get done. I guess I will work on that this weekend too. Coming back to work on Tuesday was tougher than I'd thought it would be. I was tired. I'm still tired. Tuff seems to be feeling a little bit better but we've had a rough few days/nights with him as well. He is taking the antibiotic for his strep for 10 days. As of this morning, he still has the rash. Poor thing. He doesn't act like the rash bothers him at all but that doesn't mean it doesn't. Hopefully it will clear up soon. He is also trying to cut 4 teeth! One on the top, one on the bottom, and 2 MOLARS. My baby is growing too fast. In a way, I'm sad about him getting teeth. In another way, I can't wait until he cuts them... Lord, the drooling!!! I feel like he'll never stop drooling. But I sure do love my sweet boy! I love his little brown eyes and his sweet, sweet smile. He does an excellent job at melting my heart at all the "right" moments. Always right when I need it. Hubby and I are two PROUD parents, that's for sure.

Hubby's doing well. He went back to work Monday night. He seems to still be a little tired too. This weekend should give us plenty of time to rest up and catch up. Hopefully.

I am currently working on name change. I never realized all the changing that has to be done and the process to get it done. Wow! It's kind of aggravating, actually. It's not like you can just walk in and out of the Social Security office and DMV. It takes time. Since I work M-F from 8-5, I don't have much time. It's looking like I might have to miss an extra hour or 2 next week to get these things done. But, it has to be done.

I don't really have anything too exciting to talk about. Or pictures to share. I haven't even gotten the camera out this week. I will try to take some pictures this weekend to share with everyone on Monday. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thursday!!! Not much longer until Friday. :)

I did get catch this picture with my phone the other night...

Sweet boy resting with mama before bed time. Wouldn't this melt your heart too?

Introducing.....

Mrs. Jordan Alford!!!

I don't have many pictures from the big day.... We left all the picture taking up to the photographer so the few I post are all from my mom's camera.

It was a beautiful day. It was a little stressful and baby boy was sick, which made things a lot harder. I knew Friday morning he was getting sick. He ran a low grade all day Friday and Saturday. He whined and cried a lot. Since baby boy wasn't feeling good, we had to change a few things. Jordan was originally supposed to pull him down the isle in a wagon but he carried him instead. We didn't get very many pictures with him either... maybe 4, possibly 5 and I'm pretty sure he had his paci in all of those. Even though baby boy wasn't feeling well, he still looked mighty handsome....
I sure do love him. :)

Jordan did really good. He showed some signs of stress a few times throughout the day but we both did. I think it's normal for people to be a little stressed on their wedding day. We both agreed we were glad when it was all over though. Haha. I'm not sure if that's normal but atleast we agreed on it. :)

I am one happy wife and mommy. I am so proud of my two boys and I love them both with all my heart. Life is definitely good on the Alford front.

Sunday morning we got up and headed to Murfreesboro for some breakfast. After breakfast, we ran a few errands and picked up some stuff for the house. After we took everything home, we headed back up to the wedding location to clean up what was left. It only took us about 45 minutes to an hour. We finally got baby boy about 4:30!!! We both missed him a lot. He was pretty happy to see Mommy and Daddy. We got lots of hugs, kisses, and lovies. He also started saying "CAT." Of course, he's calling everything a cat now. :) Baby boy still wasn't feeling good when he woke up yesterday morning and he also had a rash all over his belly, back, and face. We decided to call the doctor and make an appointment just to be safe. We're glad we did because the Dr. told us he thinks it's strep. Poor baby. We got an antibiotic and hopefully in a few days he'll be back to himself.

It should be a few weeks before the pictures are back for me to share. I will keep you all updated. I wanted to say thanks to anyone and everyone who helped with our big day, came to the ceremony, and/or sent congratulations our way. We are truely blessed to have such amazing friends and family. Most of all, we are blessed to have EACH OTHER.

2 days

Only 2 days until I am officially Mrs. Jordan Alford. I'm so excited. Please pray everything goes smoothly tomorrow as we spend the day preparing everything for the BIG DAY. :) I almost had a mini melt down this morning, though. I couldn't find any tracking information for the flowers that were supposed to be delivered today! I called the 1-800 number to find out how they were being delivered and the lady told me they hadn't even been shipped yet! WHAT?!? I'm getting married on Saturday and those flowers are the flowers that we are supposed to be using for the wedding. The lady I talked with was of little help and acted like she could care less about me, my wedding, or the flowers that were supposed to be here no later than this afternoon. I was furious! I called my sister and she told me to call back and speak with a supervisor. About that time mom called and said "I have good news and bad news!" "The good news is, the flowers are here. The bad news is, the box is as long as Tuff's pack and play!" Hahaha. As long as the flowers were there, we could definitely deal with the bad news. :) So, the best part of the whole situation.... I have our flowers and some supervisor got saved a big ole chewin. Cause believe me, I was ready to chew. :)

Today is my last day at work until next Tuesday and I am leaving at lunch. I have a scheduled spray tan at 12:45 and then we are off to the courthouse to get our marriage license. You know, to make it officially... OFFICIAL. Woo Hoo! :)

The Rehearsal dinner is tonight since Dalton has an away game tomorrow night. We will rehearse at 6 and then have a yummy ham dinner afterwards. I think I am looking foward to the ham dinner more than anything. Hehe...

Well, the countdown continues....

Happy Thursday Everyone!!!!
