Beautiful Weekend

It was such a nice weekend. We spent A LOT of time outside. As I've mentioned in an earlier post, Tuff LOVES it outside. He could stay out there for hours even if he had nothing to play with. It's awful trying to get him back in the house but we manage, along with a few tears and a few bribes. :)

Saturday morning we got up and headed to MeMe's to see more pictures of this sweetie...
I think he may be one of the sweetest babies I've ever seen, besides mine, of course!!!

And here is one of his sweet little face with Mommy and Daddy....

I know I've said it once before, but I'm beside myself with JOY for my Aunt Stacey. I think everyone in our family is. I honestly thought she'd never have a baby. I'm so glad she changed her mind. I think she has to be glad too after seeing this precious face for the first time!!! :) :) :) Since I work at an accounting firm and we're busy through April 15th (April 18th this year), I won't be able to make it down to see him until the weekend after that deadline. I'm a little depressed I'm not on my way down there now. But we'll be there soon!

Back to Saturday plans... After Tuff's morning nap me, mom and baby boy headed to town for some lunch at Red Lobster with my sister and Harrison. Here are some shots of our sweetnesses together after lunch...

Checkin out the Lobsters :)

Posing, well, Tuff is. :)

After lunch, we headed to the grocery store where I picked up some of these for Tuff to play with outside...

He was a big fan but really enjoyed making a mess more than playing with them. I think he might need to be just a little older to play with these. But we had fun trying. We also did a little bit of this...

And here are a few more shots of the sweet boy enjoying his time outside...

Notice the little red cheeks... We were about to head inside for a break at this point.

And here we are having a snack, some water and a little bit of Blue's Clues (the bribe to get him in).

It was such a nice weekend. I really enjoyed spending time outside in the beautiful weather with my sweet boy. He fills my heart with JOY!!!!

Since Cannon Co. schools are out for Spring Break this week, mom, dad and Tori packed up and headed to Florida to see the sweet cheeks I mentioned above... I've made plans for Tuff to stay with his Aunt Emily Monday and Friday and his Baba Tues, Wed and Thurs. He was excited to hear he was going to play with Jace Thomas when he woke up this morning. He LOVES spending time with his cousins, especially Jace since he doesn't get to see him as often as Harrison and Ada. Shortly after I got to work, Emily sent me this sweet picture of the boys waiting for breakfast! :)

We will miss MeMe and Papa while they're gone but baby boy is looking foward to spending a whole week with Jace. And to top it off, it should be beautiful!!! :)

Hope you're all enjoying the beginning to a new week.

TGI... A BEAUTIFUL.... F!!!!

I have been MORE than ready for some nice weather. Yesterday was pretty nice with a high around 75 and today it's supposed to get up to 80!!! Praise the good Lord is all I'm sayin. :) Tuff LOVES to be outside. Mom took him out for a little while yesterday and then when we got home yesterday afternoon and stayed out for about an hour. I'm telling ya'll, I think this child would stay outside for hours if I'd let him. He just walks around and explores, picking up leaves and talking about/looking at them, plays with balls, talks to chopper (our doggie) and of course tries to do a few things he shouldn't, like get in the road. He was so happy to be out.

And I was happy to be able to put shorts and a short sleeved t-shirt on him this morning before we left the house. It was already up to 64 degrees when we headed to MeMe's house at 7 a.m. It's amazing how much the weather can affect everyone's attitude.

I know I mentioned Tuff not sleeping well recently.... Well I don't know if it's this time change we're adjusting to or what, but this child has slept WONDERFULLY all week. It's been such a blessing because when he sleeps wonderfully, so do I. As for me and the time change, I'm having a harder time adjusting. I'm falling asleep earlier for some reason and NOT wanting to get out of bed when it's time to get up in the mornings. I know that has a lot to do with the darkness. I have always hated having to get up when it's still dark outside. But I've figured it's well worth it to be able to have a little more sunshine in the afternoons.

Work has been crazy this week. We are getting busier and busier. So with the weekend being only 7 hours away, I'm getting anxious for quittin' time. Hope you're all having a wonderful Friday. And most of all, enjoy your weekend!!!!!!!

This was Tuff's St. Patty's Day bath last night!!! ;)

Tomorrow Afternoon.........

Our family will be welcoming my fourth cousin on my moms side of the family, who will be 25 years younger than me. :) My mom's youngest sister is scheduled to have her first baby boy by c-secton tomorrow afternoon at 5 pm (4 pm our time). She seems to be pretty anxious but scared to death at the same time. Since she is 38 years old, everything can be a little riskier but we know the Lord will be taking good care of her and baby Beau tomorrow. If you don't mind, please say a prayer for her, her husband and baby Beau that everything goes smoothly and he comes out healthy & happy!!!

Praying for you, Jeremy and baby Beau tonight, Aunt Stacey!!!! Good Luck!!!!!!!!!

My mom, her mom and 2 sisters. Stacey is on the far right. :)

Birthday Fun and Big Steps...

My little sister, Tori, turned 13 on Sunday. We celebrated her birthday this past Saturday. (Originally planned for LAST Saturday and then she cancelled and rescheduled just a few hours before.) I am amazed when looking at all the pictures I took Saturday night. She looks SO grown up. I remember the day she was born and of course, every day in between. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. She is officially a teenager and is officially ACTING LIKE ONE. :) Haha.

The weather was absolutely gorgous and I think the baby boys enjoyed soaking up the sun just as much if not more than the teenagers who attended ;) Here are some pictures I took at the party...

Playing his fav, ball.

He really liked playing with Tori's friend... who is a boy....

Dancing in the garage with Papa

A little more playing.

All the teenagers who attended.

Tori... and her friend... who is a boy.

Me and the love of my life.

Playing in the bed of the truck.

Sistas

It's official.... 13!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Tori. We love you!!!!

I know I posted a while back about finally getting Tuff a booster so he could sit at the table like a big boy. Well, he LOVES his chair. He has come to a stage where he wants to do everything by his self. Including feeding his self. I know I'm "supposed" to let him do this at this age anyways but usually when it's something really messy, I try to feed him. Lately, there is NO WAY that is happening. He demands to do it his self. If I even get near him or his bowl while he's eating, he points in the living room and says "Sit!" He wants me to go sit down and leave him alone. Oh me. My little boy is taking big boy steps more and more every day. Here is a shot of him eating his spaghetti and garlic bread on Tuesday night. As you can tell, he is so proud.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. I am so glad it's close to being over.

Enjoy your Thursday!!!
