Mommy & Daddy Playtime.

As I said in yesterday's post, Tuff spent the whole day with Daddy yesterday. Complete with a ride in daddy's truck, a hair cut, Sonic, a bath, 2 naps, lots of cartoons and lots of "colors" (he calls coloring colors). I'd say he had a pretty good day since he was like "Hey Mom!" when I walked in the door from work rather than running as fast as he can into my arms saying "MOMMMMMMY!!!!" like he usually does when I pick him up from MeMe and Papa's every day. :) He loves his good ole quality daddy time. :) Anyways, baby boy was extremely full of energy last night so we both took full advantage and got down on all 4's (LITERALLY) and played and played. Here is what I mean by all 4's...

RIDE THAT HORSEY!!! :) :) :)

Please tell me your daddy's did this for you when you were little??? I remember me and my older sister riding on my daddy's back til his back just couldn't ride anymore. We LOVED it! When I showed Tuff how to do this last night, I got the exact reaction I was expecting... He LOVED it! :) So he did just as me and my older sister did many years ago, he rode & rode & rode until mama and daddy's backs couldn't ride anymore. Hehe. Sweet boy.

Here are some other shots I got from our ball of energy last night...

He kept laying flat on the floor saying "Chiiiiiizzzzzzzz"

Shooting some basketball...

And showing off (doing a little dance) cause he made his shot! :)

We are so blessed!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy GOOD Friday, Happy Easter & most of all HAPPY WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!

Egg hunt, Easter and a mini vacation....

Sorry for the lack of posts. I'm still recooperating from the busy tax season we just had... But... now that it's over, I have no excuse. Since I have no excuse and it's pretty quiet around here this morning, I thought I'd update everyone.

This past weekend my sister April helped host a Easter egg hunt for her church Calvary here in town at the local Sportscom. We loaded up and headed over to the Sportscom for all the fun. Tuff didn't get his nap out so he was a little grumpy when we first got there but once the Easter egg hunt geared up, he really started to come out of his shell and enjoy hisself. Here are some pictures of my sweet boy at the hunt. (I'm not in any of these because I was taking them all.)
Having a snack with Jace before the hunt

He really enjoyed the hunt. Baba did a good job helping him get started.

Ada was not having anything to do with looking at the camera. She was way too mezmorized with all the colorful plastic eggs.

Enjoying his prize (from a prize egg he got) and a snack from his preschool bag they gave out.

Ada... loving that powerade :)

Uh-oh. He found Aunt April's BIG Easter eggs that she used for some big door prizes. Of course Tuff instantly thought they were just BIG balls :)

Sharing the goodies he found with Ada.

Where's Tuff????

Here I am Mommy!!!!

The Easter egg hunt was a huge success and it's really got me geared up for Easter Sunday with my baby boy. He'll be excited to know he's going to get to hunt more eggs this Sunday! Hopefully he'll get a good nap before the hunt begins this Sunday!

Speaking of Easter, I am excited for Tuff's outfit this year. A lady we know made Tuff and Harrison cute little matching jon jons. Unfortunitely, Harrison's is too big and they won't get to match but the positive to the situation is April won't have to buy an Easter outfit next year. I'm sure sweet little Harrison will be cute as ever anyways. He always is ;) I'll definitely have plenty of pictures to post of Tuff's sweet little outfit next Monday! Baby boy is spending the day with his daddy today (daddy is off work this week) and they have plans to go get a hair cut so he'll be freshly cut for his new outfit for Easter. It's also one less thing I will have to worry about getting done on Saturday. :)

I'm excited to say... we will be taking a much needed "mini" vacation next Thursday through Monday. We will be headed down to Florida to see these fine folk...

My Granny.

My cousins (Christy, Carrie & Bobby) and Aunt Lisa

Uncle Jeremy & Aunt Stacey (my hosts)

And....

I'd have to say I'm MOST excited to see these sweet faces...

Austin
Jayden

And even MORE excited to meet this little sweetie for the FIRST time...

I can't WAIT to get some first time smooches from this one! Hang tight sweet baby boy, BIG cousin Ashley will be there in one more week. I know you can't wait to meet me. Hehe.

So I think I've got everyone up-to-date. Hope you're all having a wonderful week. The weather is beautiful and I know ya'll have to be enjoying it just as much as we are.

HAPPY THURSDAY!!!

22 weeks

I am

22 weeks

PREGNANCY HIGHLIGHTS:

How Far Along: 22 weeks
Size of baby: The website I googled said baby boy is currently the length of a spaghetti squash and about one pound in weight....
Total Weight Gain/Loss: My scale at home showed another pound added this week. That puts me at +4.
Maternity Clothes: Almost everything is maternity except a few things.
Gender: It's a BOY!!! And we couldn't be happier!
Movement: I feel him mostly when laying flat but if I wear something tight around my belly, he makes sure I know about it!!!
What I miss: I miss fitting into my regular clothes, sleep, energy and my clear face. I also miss margaritas... I'm not a regular drinker but I like to have an occassional drink and when I'm pregnant, I always crave margaritas. Haha. Bad timing, right?
Cravings: Lately, I've started craving bbq. YUM. For some reason, I can't get enough.
Symptoms: Physical exhaustion. I have no motivation to get up and get ready. I feel like I'm having to push myself. I have a feeling I have a loooong summer ahead of me.
Best Moment this week: The end of tax season!!! YAY. It's like a breath of fresh air today at the office. It's so nice... And I think the massive amount of volume at work has alot to do with why I've been so exhausted lately.

Hope you're all having a fantabulous Tuesday! I'm off to browse the web for baby boy's bedding.

The Name Game

Or that's what it feels like every since we've found out it's a sweet baby boy. We were set for a girl name so I knew it'd be a struggle when we found out it was a boy. Since I started having a "feeling" it was a boy a month or so ago, I went ahead and started thinking/searching/googling, etc. for boy names. It's rough I tell ya. Before we found out Tuff was a boy, we weren't concerned because we were set on a boy name. This time around, not so much. I know everyone is dying to know what we've decided and I can't say that we've decided just yet. But, I can tell you this much... my favorite (along with any and everyone else that I've told) is....................

BROOKS

So.... What do ya'll think? Also, if you like it, please feel free to give suggestions on middle names. We are officially stuck at a standstill and need all the help we can get. Ha. :)

Other than playing the name game we've just been doing the norm this week. Work, home, sleep and start over the next day. This week at work has been mentally exhausting for me. I sure will be glad when Monday is over. (They extended tax day from the 15th to the 18th this year) As for sleep, I have started taking something to help me sleep better because I had been dealing with some serious insomnia. I think it's because my belly has finally reached the point where it's uncomfortable for me to sleep on it. :( I'm a belly sleeper so I know all you other belly sleepers out there can definitely agree with me when I say it's almost impossible to sleep when you can't sleep on your stomach. I'd been dreading this day since day 1 of pregnancy. So, starting Sunday night, I started taking Unisom (recommended by doctors when pregnant). So far, it's worked wonders. When I was pregnant with Tuff, not so much. So I'm hoping it continues to help with this pregnancy for the next 18 weeks. :) The only negative is not wanting to get up in the mornings but I think I can deal with that over dealing with no sleep at all.

It's been raining pretty much non stop here, all day! We're supposed to get some storms later this afternoon so I guess we'll be stuck in the house tonight. Darn. I guess that means we'll have to just go to bed early and enjoy some much needed rest. :)

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I'll be checking back in on Monday!

21 weeks & weekend (picture overload)

Cassandra guessed correctly, we did indeed take our very first Zoo trip this weekend. More on that after my pregnancy highlights...

I am

21 weeks
I didn't do a "face shot" this week because I'm dressed down today and was feeling reeeally tired this morning. But, you can obviously see baby boy is showing hisself this morning!!! :)

PREGNANCY HIGHLIGHTS:
How Far Along: 21 weeks
Size of baby: The website I googled said baby boy is currently the length of a carrot.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I was right last week. When I went to the doctor they did confirm weight gain of 3 pounds. Let the fun begin! :)
Maternity Clothes: Almost everything is maternity except a few things.
Gender: It's a BOY!!! What can I say, mama's are always right!
Movement: Sunday afternoon I felt my first flutter. I've been feeling them here and there since then. But I'm only feeling them when I'm laying flat on my back!
What I miss: I miss fitting into my regular clothes, sleep, energy and my clear face.
Cravings: I'm finally starting to gain my appetite back. Hints the weight gain. But I haven't started having specific cravings yet.
Symptoms: I'm exhausted but cannot seem to sleep. I finally took something to help me sleep last night and I slept like a baby all night.
Best Moment this week: Seeing our sweet baby boy on screen last Friday. He looked so perfect and we are so blessed to have another healthy baby boy.
On to our weekend....
It was the most beautiful weekend so far this year. We decided it was a *must* to get the babies out of the house on Saturday to do something fun. We decided on a trip to the zoo. Me, Tuff, Mom, Tori, Bree and Ada packed up and headed out. This was Tuff's first time and he LOVED it. I think he loved walking the whole zoo by hisself more than the animals though. He's getting into a very "independent" stage lately. He's wanting to do everything by hisself. So, I let him walk the whole zoo by hisself. (Hints the red face in every picture. I can assure you, he's not sun burnt since we applied and reapplied sunscreen several times throughout the day) Here are some pictures from our day at the zoo...

Sweet girl

Tuff's favorite part of the whole zoo, the bamboo. He had a mini melt down when it was time to leave the bamboo area. I think we all felt like having a melt down when leaving this area since it was so cool and shaded there.

Taking a break for something cold to drink...

This was right before we loaded up to go home.

And what good is a post about the zoo without some pictures of the animals...
The anteater

Tigers

Not sure what the correct name is, but I call this a bird. Ha.

Fish. Tuff loves fish.

And the flamingos! :)

We had a wonderful time. It was a nice "first" for Tuff. It was HOT but it was worth it. I definitely couldn't imagine going in the summer though.
Sunday wasn't as hot as Saturday but it was still warm enough for some play time outside (Tuff's favorite). After a trip to the grocery store, lunch and a long 3 hour nap, I bathed Tuff in some sunscreen and we headed outside to play in his new pool.

He wasn't so sure about the pool. He liked to splash from the side, stand in it and throw his balls in and out of it but wasn't going to sit down in it for nothing. He still had fun with it, though.

Posing right before we headed inside for a bath and some dinner.

It was a GREAT weekend. I'm thankful for such a sweet baby boy. Can't wait til his little brother is here so we can do these kind of things with both boys.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!!!!
Happy Tuesday!
