Baby Boy's party on Saturday was a huge success. Tuff was a little uneasy when he first arrived but after he got some food in his belly, he warmed up wonderfully! :) Here are some of the pictures from his BIG day! :)

I'll start with the BIRTHDAY BOY....

And on to the Hosts!

And again...

A little play time :)

And the BEST part of every party...

PRESENTS!!!!

And one with Mommy & Daddy! :)

Like I said above, everything turned out great! We had the best time and Tuff got way TOO MANY presents! :) Thank you for any and everyone who was there to be apart of Tuff's special day! We very much appreciated your company and Tuff loved all his gifts!

On Sunday afternoon, my sister and mom hostest a "Sprinkle" for Gunner at a local restaurant. My sister was a little late on getting out the invites and several people told me they never got their invite. A lot of other friends and family had plans and couldn't make it. I had 5 friends and family show up but we still enjoyed each other's company and a wonderful lunch!!! Thank you to everyone that came and gave a gift for our sweet little Gunner. We very much appreciate everyone's generosity and we know when Gunner arrives he will appreciate it too. :)

Here are a few pictures from lunch.

Outfit my sister for for Gunner.

All the ladies who attended.

Our family is SO blessed to have such supportive Friends and Family!!!
Thanks again to everyone who made Tuff and Gunner's weekend so special!

A little last minute P&P

Prepping & Preparing, that is!

For "Curious" Tuff's big birthday bash on Saturday!!!

I am starting to get more and more excited. I only have just a few things left to pick up besides the food. We plan on going to Sam's tomorrow afternoon to get the food in bulk. :)

Here's a sneak peak at a few things I've gotten here and there and/or made myself.

DIY: Cupcake Toppers

DIY: "Pin the candle on the Cake"

DIY: Sign for the drive way.
(If you're coming & you see this sign, then you're at the right place!!!)

Invitation: Etsy

Birthday Boy's Shirt: Etsy

And a few store bought things...
(Party City)
Balloons

Banner

Table Cover

Like I said, I sitll have a few other things to pick up but I'm getting more and more anxious to see how everything turns out on Saturday. I've been working on these party details for over a month. It's so much fun though. It seems the older they get, the funner the planning is. Can't wait to post pictures of the actual party after it's over.

Stay tuned.......

[and feelin' it!]

PREGNANCY HIGHLIGHTS

How Far Along: 33 weeks

 Total Weight Gain/Loss: 14 pounds
Maternity Clothes: YES!!! I am SO clotheless. I really don't want to have to buy more maternity clothes with only 7 weeks left.
Gender: It's a BOY!!! Gunner Blake.
Movement: Still moving... all the time.
What I miss: SLEEEEEEEEP. I'm so sleep deprived. Tylonel PM really seems to help but I know I can't take it every night. It can't be good for us.
Cravings: Just food. I'm eating more and more as the days go by.
Symptoms: A few contractions here and there, pain and swelling in places I don't want it.... and sleep deprivation.
Best Moment this week: The extra long weekend I had with my boys! :)

SOOOO....

CASEY ANTHONY!!!!

NOT GUILTY!!!!

What are your thoughts on that???

PLEASE tell me ya'll agree with me when I say Casey Anthony should have got the death penalty!!! Instead of that or life in prison, she will be able to continue her partying lifestyle while her precious daughter is DEAD. I'm just sick to my stomach with the verdict for that girl!!!! One thing I do know FOR SURE is, she WILL have to pay for it one day when her life is over!

A dreaded Virus & 4th of July weekend

The weekend before last my niece Ada had a virus. Since mom was out of town and she wasn't keeping Tuff again until Tuesday, I thought we'd be in the clear. By Tuesday, Ada had been virus free since Sunday. Tuff seemed to be fine all week until Friday. (Why must they always be sick on the weekends?) We got surprised at work on Friday by getting to leave (with pay) 2 hours early! I was excited to be getting off a little early the day before our long weekend. I headed to moms, picked up baby boy and headed home. In the car I kept noticing Tuff's little eyes being red rimmed and along with him being more quiet than usual I thought to myself, something isn't right. Once we got home and inside the house, he started crying. He cried for about 10 minutes and wouldn't let me or Jordan put him down. Around 5:00-5:30 I laid on the couch and he came over to lay with me and fell asleep!!! Now I know something's up! He NEVER goes to/falls asleep that late in the afternoon. We let him take a little snoozer until about 6 and once he woke up, he was burning up! So, instead of going out like we had planned, we stayed in and alternated tylonel and motrin for the evening and into the morning on Saturday. Saturday morning he was still running a fever but after a bath, was acting just fine. So we let mom keep him for a while and continued with our car shopping plans. (And if you're wondering, we still have the same car...) On our way home from car shopping mom called and said he'd taken a 4-5 hour nap and woke up burning up! He hadn't drank or ate anything all day and was pretty lethargic. Once we got there to pick him up we decided to take him up to the Emergency Room (where my sister in law works) just to have the doctor take a look in his ears and throat to make sure it was just a virus. Virus was confirmed but I was still concerned because his temp was at 103 and thats an hour after having meds. He also threw up all over the ER area because he was so hot. Poor baby. My sister in law decided to give him a little more meds and we headed home for another warm bath. After his bath and getting him settled on the couch, I headed out to Gracie's party to drop off her present. I was devastated he had to miss another birthday party for being sick. But I definitely didn't want any of the kids there to catch what he had. Once I got home he was still on the couch. A couple hours later he finally started to get up and around. He also started eating and drinking. Thank God! Later that night as we were laying down for bed I PRAYED HARD asking for a fever free child on Sunday morning. Well... prayers were answered. Sunday morning baby boy was 100% fever free and back to his self almost completely. Jordan decided he wanted to take Tuff fishing. His daddy came by and we headed out to Lake Ann to fish for a little while. Tuff wasn't having much to do with it at all. We also realized he probably wasn't feeling back to his self 100% yet either because he was VERY whiney. Fishing was fun even though we didn't stay long. I hadn't been fishing in YEARS! In the little bit of time we were there, Jordan caught 2 fish and Poppy caught 1.

It was FUN! I can't wait to go back without baby boy and do it again! We figured we better wait a couple more years before we try that again with Tuff though. :) After fishing, we came home and took a loooong nap! Sunday night we grilled steaks for dinner and relaxed.

Monday morning we got up and got ready for the cookout at my MIL's. We headed that way around 11. We ate, swam, napped and played all day. Later in the afternoon PaPa came over for a little swimming too.

Yes, he was swimming in the buff.
By this point, we had already been through too many wet diapers.
I decided I didn't want to waste anymore.

Definitely looking PREGNANT here.

Ada loving the water!

We had a long but fun day! We finally headed home about 7. After getting cleaned up, we were all in the bed by 8:30. Since MeMe is on vacation this week, Tuff is spending the week with Daddy since it's daddy's last week of shut down. He didn't seem to care too much about me leaving for work this morning. He said "BYYYYEEE" and sent me on my way! I'm sure him and daddy will have a blast this week.

Hope you all had a fabulous extra long weekend too! At least we have a short work week ahead! I'll be working on a few last minute projects for the big party on Saturday! Can't wait to see how everything turns out! Have a good week!

Looking foward to...

The long weekend ahead!!!

We have a few different things on our agenda this weekend. Tomorrow morning we plan on getting up early and heading to Nissan. We aren't 100% sure we'll be getting something different but we are in hopes of getting something bigger. Like I said, it all depends on what we can get for my car and what kind of deals they have going on. Jordan is really wanting one of these bad boys...

And in all honesty, I wouldn't mind having one myself! :) Like I said, we'll just have to see. We desperately need something bigger with Gunner on the way so I'm praying it all works out.

Tomorrow afternoon, we will be attending this little sweetie's very FIRST Birthday party.

Isn't she the sweetest thing you've ever laid eyes on? I happen to think she's Blessed with a pretty awesome mommy too. Kelly has been one of my BEST friends for years and I know she's been working hard to make Miss Gracie's first birthday party very special. Can't wait to see how everything turns out. Time sure does FLY!!! It seems like just yesterday I was visiting Miss Gracie for the very first time!!!

Kelly might have been one of the proudest new Mommy's I'd ever seen!!!!

And me, I know for a FACT I was one of the proudest friends ever!!!

Happy 1st Birthday sweet Gracie Ann! Can't wait to celebrate with you tomorrow!!!! :)

What else is in store for our busy weekend, you ask? Oh... maybe just a little relaxation will be mixed in and then of course some fun 4th of July festivities on Monday at my MIL's. If I had to guess, our festivities will probably involve some yummy food, some wonderful family company, some pool time and maybe a few fireworks!!! :) CAN'T WAIT!

Happy 4th!!!

Oh... and just wanted to let you all know my doctor's appointment went wonderfully yesterday afternoon. Besides the fact that I had to wait 2 hours to see a NP Baby Gunner is still right on track and I have gained 3 lbs. since my last visit 2 weeks ago, which puts me at a total of 14 lbs. I've definitely FELT the extra weight the past week so I figured I'd gained some extra this time. I even feel like my belly picture for this week was WAY bigger than the week before. It could just be me, who knows. I do know one things for sure, I'm getting MORE than ready to see his sweet face! It'll be here before we know it!!! Close to 7 weeks left!

Hope you all have a WONDERFUL Holiday weekend!!!!!

DIY Projects- Part 2 (The Reveal)

No one guessed what we did/changed. But since I'm SO in love with the NEW outcome, I am posting the reveal.

Notice these.....
[sorry about the blur]

Well... they WERE green.
As were the doors to the house....

But Hubby had the bright idea that they needed to be a diferent color. Because obviously, that green was HIDIOUS! So we ventured out to Home Depot this past weekend and picked out something new. I was IN LOVE with the finished product. And honestly, I think it looks like a completely different house now!!!!

This is the same window as the first picture above.

Tuff's window

And the front door!!!

What do ya'll think???

HAPPY THURSDAY!!!!
One day closer to our LONG weekend!

DIY Projects

[Pregnancy Highlights are posted just below this post in a separate post!]

I have really gotten into doing more DIY projects lately. My favorite DIY projects, you ask? Anything and everything involving improvements on our home. I wish I had taken pictures of our house inside & out when we bought it to compare to all the thing we've done to it, now. The couple that lived in it before us were in the military with no kids. Needless to say, everything was PLAIN JANE all the way. I'm talking as PLAIN as JANE can get, PLAIN! Haha. All the walls were white. They didn't have one single thing hanging on the walls. Carpet was perfect. Furniture was perfect. etc. etc. etc. You get my point, right? Well, once we broke in, the first thing we did was PAINT... every single room in the house, except the guest room (we left it white for the 2nd baby). The one thing to me and Jordan that seemed to need just as much attention as the walls, the YARD! Here is a before picture of our yard shortly after we moved in. Sorry about the blur...

I posted just a week or so ago about the trees and flowers we planted this year, along with adding some ferns to the front porch. You can see that post here. But... Here are a few shots of the house now compared to the pic above. (I took this weekend!)

NOW... for the DIY project we worked on this weekend that I'm most excited about...

Study the pictures above compared to the picture when we first moved in? Can anyone GUESS what we changed????

Guess! Guess! Guess! (I'll reveal the answer in my next post)

[here's a tiny hint: the grass on the right side of the house might reveal a teeny little hint]

What has Tuff been up too, you ask?

Helping us make the yard pretty!

....................

Shootin a few fireworks... with daddy close by, of course!

................................

And playing on the lawn mower.

You know, doing the things little boys like to do! :)

Happy Wednesday!!!!
