37 weeks

I AM

37 weeks

PREGNANCY HIGHLIGHTS

How Far Along: 37 weeks
Size of baby: The website I googled said baby boy is currently the size of a stalk of swiss chard. He is weighing around 6 and 1/3 pounds and is 19 inches from head to heel!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: At my doctor's appointment Friday I had lost 2 pounds. (Not even sure how that's possible) but that puts me back down to a total weight gain of 14 pounds. The doctor didn't seem at all concerned about this even though they DO like to see me gain a 1/2 a pound to 1 pound weekly at this point.
Maternity Clothes: All maternity at this point! (I'm really running low in the clothes dept.)
Gender: It's a BOY!!! Gunner Blake.
Movement: Not feeling him move as much anymore. I'm sure he's ran out of room in there. I do however feel plenty of pushes and punches. He's probably trying to get comfy.
What I miss: SLEEEEEEEEP. I also miss my energy, being able to bend over, my normal body, being able to lay on my stomach, eating anything I want without getting heartburn and just being comfortable, period!
Cravings: Still no particular cravings. I haven't had a whole lot of cravings with this pregnancy like I did with Tuff's pregnancy. I just like to eat, period!
Symptoms: Swelling, headaches and a few contractions.
Best Moment this week: My doctor's appointment last Friday. We've officially made a little bit of progress. Dilated to a 1.5. I've started hitting the treadmill in hopes of some more dilation at my appointment this Friday!!! I'll definitely keep ya'll posted!

Happy Tuesday!

I'll leave ya'll with a picture of my sweet boy.
Eating his sucker and putting his sticker on his head.
He had his 2 year check up Friday as well.
Everything looked great!!! And NO shots until he's 4! YAY!

2 Year Pics

I mentioned having Tuff's 2 year pictures made a few weeks ago. We got the disk in the mail Saturday of ALL the images and I was super excited. I thought I'd share a few of my favs here....

LOVED how all of them turned out. She didn't get as many of him looking at the camera OR of him smiling but I've just accepted the fact that our child hates the camera. And I'll take what I can get. Haha. She still did an AMAZING job for having to work with such a hard headed 2 year old. :) What do ya'll think?

Our weekend was pretty low key. We got out and did a few things but other than those things, not much. I haven't been feeling well. I've got some major sinus issues going on. Hopefully I can get rid of all that soon. My doctor's appointment Friday went well. I am dilated to a 1.5. Hopefully this Friday it will be a 4.5. Yeah.... Right....

Hope you all had a wonderfull weekend!!!!

[I'd do the HAPPY dance if I wasn't so exhausted]

PREGNANCY HIGHLIGHTS

How Far Along: 36 weeks
Size of baby: The website I googled said baby boy is currently the size of a crenshaw melon. He is weighing around 6 pounds and is 18 1/2 inches long! From this point on, he will be packing on the weight (about an ounce a day).

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 16 pounds so far. I will find out a more accurate figure on Friday at my doctor's appointment. But lately I've been gaining a pound a week. So I'm guessing 18 pounds is where I'll be at by Friday. (Finger's crossed anyways)  ;)
Maternity Clothes: All maternity at this point!
Gender: It's a BOY!!! Gunner Blake.
Movement: Still moving... all the time... It's starting to get uncomfortable. I'm sure he's feeling the same way!
What I miss: SLEEEEEEEEP. I also miss my energy, being able to bend over, my normal body, being able to lay on my stomach, eating anything I want without getting heartburn and just being comfortable, period!Cravings: Still no particular cravings. I haven't had a whole lot of cravings with this pregnancy like I did with Tuff's pregnancy.
Symptoms: I'm starting to have several contractions. And I'm swelling some. Usually at the end of the day when I've been up on my feet alot. I'm also starting to get headaches, just like I did at the end of my pregnancy with Tuff. Hopefully it's not a sign of preeclampsia, again!
Best Moment this week: Looking foward to my doctor's appointment on Friday! They start checking me this week. So I'm praying for some progress/good news!!!! Come on baby Gunner! Mommy has faith in you! :)

Happy Tuesday!

9 months pregnant = rough morning

It's for sure been a ROUGH morning! Tomorrow I will officially be 9 months pregnant!!! Lord knows, I'm feeling it!!! Especially at work. I am a receptionist and I sit in a chair, infront of a computer for 8-9 hours a day. I remember very vividly what it was like at the end of my pregnancy with Tuff, at work. Mainly because I'm starting to feel it all over again. I have 4 more weeks until Gunner's due date and I'm miserable when I'm at work. Last week was HARD. But this morning, only 2 hours into the morning, I'm feeling how much harder it's going to get. I can't get comfortable in my chair, I'm constantly hot, my belly is hard as a rock and sitting straight up hurts! And every afternoon, I get a little visitor whom I HATE with a passion dislike very much, a headache!!! Since I cover the frontdesk and the phones, I can't move away from my desk to walk or ease the pain. Please pray for me to make it though the next 4 weeks. Or until Gunner decides to make his appearance. I really need to be here since I have to be out on Maternity leave for so long, with no pay!

While I was sitting here feeling pretty crummy earlier, I had a surprise visitor who made my morning a little brighter!!!

Check him out...

He enjoyed playing with mommy's computer & her phone!
In this picture, he's pointing to and talking about daddy on my computer screen.

Then, he found mommy's snack drawer and thought he'd help his self! :)

Mommy didn't mind ;)

One thing is for sure, nothing else could have made me feel better this morning!!!

I LOVE my baby boy!!!!

Nursery happenings

We are finally getting in gear with Gunner's nursery! I was THRILLED to get 2 picture messages from the lady making Gunner's bedding last night. Here is a "sneak peek" of some of the things that will match sweet boy's bedding.

[curtain & diaper stacker]

OH MY!!!

Can you see why I was so excited? It looks GREAT!!! I absolutely can NOT wait to see everything once it's all finished!!!!

We finally have a plan for the walls now, too. I have been searching everywhere online the past few weeks trying to think of something to do with the walls and last night we finally came up with an idea. I am excited to see the outcome. I am headed to the paint store today on my lunch break to pick up what we will need to get started. Obviously, I wanted to do something fun and different. Something other than painting every wall the same ole' color. What we came up with has a tad bit of detail so pray for us as we are working on this. Especially since [painting & patience] don't go to well as a pair for neither Jordan or I. Hehe. :)

I am SO relieved to finally get some things done. Nothing like waiting til the last minute. We're getting down to crunch time. And even though I'm almost completely sure Gunner will wait it out until his dute date, there is a little part of me that thinks he may come earlier than expected. Like last night for instance, I had an "episode." Haha. I had a 3 or 4 contractions in about a 15 minutes span (while I was laying in bed trying to go to sleep) and with every contraction, Gunner would start moving. Which made it even more painful. Now keep in mind, I never had ONE contraction/pain/etc. while I was pregnant with Tuff... so I'm not really sure what to "expect" if I were to go into labor. I do know one thing FOR SURE..... I DO NOT want to go into labor at night while my hubby is at work. I am not very calm when it comes to things like this and I couldn't imagine it happening while I was alone and had a 2 year old with me. Hahahaha. Now we ALL know what's going to happen if I go into labor on my own..... It will be right smack dab in the middle of the night while hubby is at work, Tuff is sleeping and so is every other family member in town. Geeeez. Pray for me! We are getting soooooooooooooo close. 4 and a half weeks to be exact. I am full of so many emotions. I'm anxious, scared, nervous, happy, READY,etc. I have been saying an extra prayer or 2 the last few weeks... asking for a smooth and non-complicated delivery and asking for a healthy baby boy! Hoping all those prayers are answered!!!

As for Tuff.........................

[laying on his baby brother watching cartoons]

I think he's ready for his baby brother to get here too! He was giving him a little extra L-O-V-E last night before bedtime. :)

I am one BLESSED mama!!!!!

Happy Thursday! Another day closer to the weekend!!!!
