Life is Good!

"Why Yes Dove, I think I will!"

Sometimes you need simple reminders like the picture above. I say simple because that is a wrapper from a piece of Dove chocolate I enjoyed earlier :)

Our weekend was fun and busy! Friday night we went to open house at Tuff's school for next year's enrollment. Tuff ran around like he owned the place. Definitely an improvement from the beginning of his year. He has grown to love "school" so much. He knows all his colors, numbers, most shapes and he's been singing lately. "School" has been SO good for him. Dada (what Tuff calls Ada) might be going to his school next year so Tuff wanted to go and show her around. We were there about an hour, got dinner after and headed home. On Saturday Gunner woke up not feeling good so we missed a birthday party we were supposed to attend. (Sorry Tara!) Jordan has been sick so I sent him to the DR and he came home with 3 different meds, one including an inhaler because he has sinus infection & bronchitis. I was afraid Gunner might be getting bronchitis again because his cough was horrible. It was a very pretty day on Saturday so after naps we decided to take a walk to a creek close by. Gunner LOVES the stroller so every time I took his picture, he was hamming it up.

Tuffy enjoyed throwing rocks off the bridge into the water

 Our view

Gunner had a rough night Saturday into Sunday morning so we got up and headed to the DR first thing Sunday morning. He said he didn't have bronchitis yet but since he was wheezing and coughing he wanted to go ahead and get him some abuterol to hopefully catch it in time. Thankfully. I'm so glad he doesn't have bronchitis but I still hate that he is feeling some bad. He also said to expect lack of sleep from meds. Yay for us! He was coughing/waking/crying/whining a lot last night but we made it. (we always do.)

My Granny flew in yesterday morning and I am so excited to get to spend some time with her this week. I hate that I can't spend the whole week with her but I have to work. I did get Wednesday off so I could spend the day with her and we are also going to the Grand Ole Opry tomorrow night which I'm pretty excited about.

We celebrated the twins birthday yesterday. Well, me and Tuff did. We left daddy and brother behind since both are sick. It was a rainbow theme and all of my sister's hard work definitely paid off. The only negative was it being about 105 degrees. OK. Maybe it was only 85 degrees but it sure felt like 105. HA! I was my sister's photographer (with her camera) so I'm not in any of these pictures. Which isn't really a bad thing.

Gunner's 6 month check up

Gunner went to see Dr. C yesterday afternoon for his 6 month check up. It was SO nice outside. When we got to the clinic and I put him in the stroller, he really seemed to enjoy the ride from the car to the door. I wish we'd had more time to do something outside yesterday afternoon. But, we had a date with Dr. C instead.

waiting to be called back

getting ready to undress and be weighed

after being weighed, waiting to see Dr. C

he LOVED the paper he was sitting on.

Everything is looking great for our sweet boy.
His stats looked like this...

Weight: 20 lb. 3 oz.
Length: 27 in.

I got out Tuff's 6 month stats when I got home to compare. Gunner is leading the race by 1 lb. exactly. At Tuff's 6 month visit, he weighed 19 lb. 3 oz.

He got 3 shots (boo!) and we headed home. He seemed to be a little cranky last night but slept wonderfully once he went to bed and was in a great mood this morning. SO glad everything looked great. Hoping to stay healthy for a long while.
:)

Happy Wednesday!

Our weekend

We didn't do too much this weekend. Daddy had to work on Friday night so I invited Aunt Manda and the boys over for dinner. We had lasagna and Tuff got to play with the boys. He's always excited to see the boys. Saturday was a lazy day. When everyone got up from their afternoon naps, we decided to take the boys to the park. It was a pretty day and Tuff had asked me several times that morning to play outside. So off to the park we headed. Gunner really seemed to enjoy his self and Tuff always does. Here are a few pictures of our adventure to the park.

Tuff likes to go down the slide on his belly. He says he does this at school with Grady.
We've been hearing A LOT about Grady lately. Grady is a boy in his class. I think they must be big buds.

Gunner wasn't so sure about the slide :)

Gunner trying out this ride ;)

Tuff loved the swings.

I think Gunner mostly enjoyed the stroller ride.

Sunday we went to church and after church we went to Ashton's 3rd birthday party. Ashton is the son of a friend of mine, Ashley. He also goes to school where Tuff does except he's in one class up from Tuff. I didn't get a whole lot of pictures at the party because I was running in and out trying to keep an eye on both boys. Gunner was sleeping in Ashley's room and Tuff was playing outside. Tuff seemed to really enjoy his self. Enough to throw a mini melt down when we tried to leave. :) He was out like a light before we left their sub division.

Playing ball outside

They had a jungle-jim with a slide and swings. Tuff really liked it.
He might have to have one in his near future.

Last night while we were having dinner we gave Gunner a sippy cup for the first time. He had no idea what to do with it but he was so excited about it. He would try to hold it and once he would get it to his mouth he'd be so excited that he'd let it go. It was pretty entertaining to watch. By the time we were done with dinner his entire shirt was soaked. :)

READY....

SET...

GO!!!!

YAY Gunner Bear!
Not too bad for his first time!
:)

Today is T.T.'s birthday!!! She's turning 14!

Just yesterday she was Gunner's age.
(and I remember it like it was just yesterday)

And then Tuff's age.

And now she's grown into a "2nd year" teenager.

And she's definitely FULL of teenage attitude and drama.
But we still love her of course!
:)

Happy Birthday Tori Leigh. Sissy loves you to the moon and back.
And so do your sweet nephews!

Gunner has his 6 months well visit this afternoon so I'll be back with his stats tomorrow.
Happy Tuesday, Friends!

Do they look alike?

I like to go back and dig out Tuff's pictures and compare to Gunner's, as he grows. Here they are at 6 months, side by side.

What do ya'll think?

Do they look alike?

Sweet babies!

I've posted 3 different posts today so don't forget to scroll down and see Gunner's 6 month "sneak peek" if you haven't already.

Gunner "sneak peek" - 6 months

My friend Anita has done it again... a great job that is! She came out and took Gunner's 6 month photo shoot yesterday (since it was finally nice enough) and sent me a sneak peek late last night. I'm IN LOVE with them, of course!

Happy Thursday, Friends.
