Sick... again.

Being well around our household doesn't last long... I had a horrible headace going on 4 days Tuesday afternoon. When I got home I decided to check my BP. It was pretty high so when I woke up Wednesday morning with the same headache, I decided to make an appointment. Tuesday night Gunner woke up a couple hours after I laid him down with a horrible cough and a low grade fever. The cough/fever lasted all night into the morning so I went ahead and made him an appointment for Wednesday morning, too. Around 8:15 we headed to the DR. My appointment first. She ended up putting me back on my BP meds (I've been off since I was pregnant with Gunner), gave me a prescription for my headaches and gave me a shot to get rid of the headache that I'd had for the last 4 days. The shot worked. But my headache was back when I woke up this morning. :-/ Hopefully once the meds get into my system, the headaches will reside. We shall see. Next up, Gunner's appointment. His appointment was at 10:30 and by the time we got there he was restless and very irritated. It was well past nap time. Poor bud. He ended up having an upper respiratory infection and a double ear infection. 4 prescriptions later we were headed home. Everyone rested wonderfully last night, thank goodness. Hopefully we'll all be back to our normal selves soon.

Tax Season is finally over at work and things are a lot quieter around there. I think everyone in the office was more than ready for a little peace and quiet! :)

What's everybody been up to? Tuffy has been playing hard and enjoying this beautiful weather on the days he's not at school. And Gunner has been showing a few signs of getting mobile. He definitely knows how to get where he wants/needs to get by scooting. He also turned 8 months old this past Monday. 8 months!!! Did I really just say that? Can't believe how fast the time flies by! I'll try to get his 8 months post up tomorrow.

Sweet boy is also starting to get more independent....

This amazes me since Tuff never would hold his own bottle. I think right when he started holding his own bottle, it was time to take it away. :)

Weekend

The past week has been crazy! Work has been crazy! I work for an accounting firm and the tax deadline is tomorrow... if that tells yall anything. I barely feel like being here now. :-/ I'll be glad when Wednesday gets here and we all start to feel some relief!

Anyways our weekend was pretty simple. We did a few things. I got a few pictures. Friday night we just hung out and went to bed early. Saturday morning we got up and went to watch Harrison play soccer. Well... we went to watch Harrison eat snacks on the sideline. He wasn't too interested in playing soccer... Tuff really enjoyed kicking the soccer balls into the net (or back of) the whole time. My sweet boy. He's gonna have a future full of sports, I can already tell! :)

Saturday afternoon the Smith clan came over to mom's for tacos. We were trying to get Greer to crawl....

Sunday was pretty lazy. I had to make Gunner's monthly baby food stash. We played outside alot this weekend so everyone was tired and ready for bed last night. And all slept well, too!

Easter 2012

This will be mostly a picture post...

Our Easter started Saturday morning. We met up with my friend Lana at her home church and joined their Easter egg hunt. It took Tuff a few minutes to warm up but he did once the hunt started! :)

Saturday afternoon we headed over to MeMe and Pa's for their Easter festivities. We started by dying a few eggs. The dye is permanent and doesn't come out so we stripped everyone down first.

Tuff really enjoyed dying the eggs.

We had dinner shortly after dying eggs. Everything was delicious, as usual! Right after dinner the kids were itching to hunt eggs so that's exactly what we did.

We ended the night, tired! But had to prepare for the real deal on Sunday. Got home and prepped baskets from the Easter bunny...

The Easter bunny was good to the boys, as he usually is :)

Both Tuff & Gunner were excited to wake up to all these goodies...

We got ready for church and headed to the 8:30 service. After church we joined everyone at Cracker Barrel for breakfast!

After we got home and had naps. After naps I dressed the boys back in their Easter attire and took them outside for some pictures. (I didn't have their cute Easter outfits made for no reason!)

3 a.m. intruder

I think someone, not saying any names, Gunner... Caught word about mommy's 4 a.m. intruder. Because last night I was welcomed at 3 a.m. by a different intruder...

This didn't go over very well when my 4 a.m. intruder came for his visit an hour later.

The results you ask?

4 a.m. intruder was directed right back to his bed.

Once again, since I love him oh SO much, I might not have minded!
