It's that time of the year...

You know, for FOOTBALL, sweatshirts-boots-jeans, bonfires, soup....

FALL!

I love everything about this time of the year. It seems to have come a little earlier than usual this year. Which is ok with me.

Tonight the boys and I will head to Murfreesboro to watch cousin Dalton play his LAST first football game in HS. That's right, our big boy is a senior this year! It's amazing how fast it's flown by. It wasn't long ago I was writing this post. The only difference is a few years and that mommy had to make 2 shirts this year rather than 1.

The boys are ready, and excited to see Dalton play ball.

Good luck Lions!

Last weekend we celebrated Gunner's 2nd birthday. We just had a small get together with family and close friends. We really just enjoyed celebrating my sweet boy turning 2 with a little BBQ, cake, presents, swimming and swing set playing.

We had a great time celebrating our sweet boy. He sure was blessed with lots of good company, family and friends!

Not much else going on this week. Tuff finished his 2nd full week of school. He's exhausted, but he's loving it. Gunner also finished his 2nd week. He's still crying when he gets dropped off but from what we hear, it doesn't last long and then he enjoys the rest of his day! They're definitely growing up fast. I'm proud of my boys!

Happy Friday friends!

2 years

Where oh where has the time gone...

My sweet boy is turning 2 years old today.

On this day 2 years ago, I was preparing to meet my sweet little Gunner Blake.

At 12:01 pm, came the 2nd most sweetest, most precious baby I'd ever laid my eyes on...

He was perfect in every single way.

And still is to this day!

Gunner Blake has brought much joy and happiness to my life over the last 2 years.
He is so many kinds of special, in his own way.
He is so much like his mommy which gives us that different kind of bond.
He is my baby, my sidekick, half of my heart, my life, my reason for being!!!

Happy Birthday sweet boy,
mommy loves you more than words can say!!!

What we've been up to....

SCHOOL!!!!!!

Gunner Blake has picked up right where Tuff left off at WDS' mother's day out program. This morning was his first day and I'm not going to lie when I say it may have been harder for mommy and daddy than it was for Gunner. I just can hardly believe my "baby" is going to be going to "school" 2 days a week. My "baby" will also be turning 2 THIS FRIDAY!!! Seems like just yesterday he was born and Tuff was starting MDO.

Time sure is flying by....

Tuff had his first day of pre-K last Wednesday. They do phase in here so he only went one day last week but I got lots of updates from Mrs. Kendria throughout the day...

So far he seems to be loving everything. His new school and his new teacher. I'm so thankful for that.

My boys are growing way to fast... sometimes I'm scared to blink!

Good Ole Days filled weekend...

We had a busy weekend that started off at the ball field bright and early Saturday morning. Tuff wasn't feeling it this particular game and I'm not quite sure why but I'm thinking it could be due to not playing the past few weeks because of rain. After the first inning, he was pretty much done. But I know it's bound to happen every now and then.

Tuff and Daddy

and even though he wasn't to into it this week,
he still hit that ball like a champ!
:)

We went straight from the ball field to the square for a Good Ole Days pageant that sweet little Ada was in. She got 2nd runner up and most photogenic!

Saturday afternoon I headed to watch my 2 nephews play in their yearly maroon and gold game.

Sunday we celebrated Ada turning 3...

The boys had a blast swimming for Ada's birthday!

Tuff did get his stitches taken out early Friday morning. It only took a few minutes, thankfully, because we did end up having to hold him down by the head, arms and legs. After it was over I asked him if it had hurt and he said "mmmm... nope." To that I responded "so, what was all the drama for?" HAHA. Just glad that's over with. His lip already looks 10 times better! :)

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Gunner Blake

Gunner Blake is growing so fast. So fast I'm afraid to blink some days. He's still bringing lots of love to the table as well. He is for sure a mama's boy! :)

Of course, I love every minute of it.

He loves, loves, loves water and taking a bath. I think he'll be very fond of the swimming pool this year!

He also loves to eat. He loves a home cooked meal where as Tuff has always preferred Spaghettios, hot dogs, etc... Gunner doesn't care for all of that. When a home cook meal is prepared, he likes to grub! Smart boy! I'm just glad I have one who likes to eat!

He LOVES to go outside! And now that the weather has been getting nicer, he has really started to enjoy being outside.

He also LOVES his bubba! He wants to do everything he does, including play t-ball.

He just watches while Tuff's on the field...

and from time to time, sneaks in the dug out...

Gunner Blake will be 21 months old tomorrow. Where has the time gone? Where did my baby go? He's turned into such a big boy. Before I know it, we'll be celebrating his 2nd birthday. I'm blessed to have 2 of the sweetest boys who keep my heart full every day. If it weren't for my babies, I'm not sure where I'd be.

:)

Our weekend :)

We had a pretty eventful weekend....

Friday night my nephew headed off to his first PROM. He looked mighty handsome in his suit.

Friday afternoon, the boys and I headed to Murfreesboro for a little shopping and dinner. Saturday morning we got up early to head to a Mother's Day breakfast at Cracker Barrel for Meme. The kiddos enjoyed the toy spot, as usual.

After breakfast the boys headed to their daddys and mama got prepped for the 4K Tap N' Run in Nashville. Team Tye Dye had a blast! This was definitely one of the funnest things I'd done in a while!

Pictures with my teammates...

after the run

Sunday morning I picked up my babies and a little while after being home with them, I got "prized" (surprised) with this...
(with a little help from Meme)

I am so blessed! I have the BEST babies in this world. I love them more than words can say.

Later in the afternoon after naps we headed to some family friends for a cookout. After eating we were all playing outside when Tuff fell and busted his lip! :( Poor buddy sliced it pretty deep so we had to make a trip to the ER. After being looked at, they decided he needed to be stitched up. He was a very brave boy. He did better than mommy did...

Luckily, he was sedated during the stitching process. I can't imagine what it'd been like if he weren't. It was hard enough seeing him go through that sedated. He was pretty out of it the rest of the night but woke up just fine this morning. Other than asking Meme to cut off his stitches. :)

It was definitely an unforgettable Mother's Day! Just thankful it wasn't any worse. We get stitches out on Friday... I'm sure that post will be a little more dramatic! :(

Hope you all had a nice weekend and Mother's Day!

Tuff update

We're gearing up for summer around our house. This week is Tuff's last week of WDS (day school). He will start pre-k (sniff, sniff) in the fall. We actually just had pre-k screening yesterday morning. He did very well and passed all his testing. I'm excited for this next step for my big boy. Hopefully he will feel the same when school starts in August. It's amazing how much he's grown since we started the day school a few years ago....

What else has Tuff been up to? Well... we have started T-ball and so far, he's loving it. He's doing pretty well considering it's his first year and he's only 3. He loves to hit the ball and he does very well hitting with the coaches pitches rather than using the Tee. We are all very proud of him! Here are a few pictures of him in action!
