This is going to be so long and random. I'd be surprised if any of you are still with me when I finish typing. We have been BUSY, BUSY the past few weeks. (Hints the lack of blog posts) Life has been crazy, stressful and full of fun all at the same time! The boys are growing up so fast before my very eyes! They are learning so much every day! I wanted to document some of the things they've been up too....
Tuff will be 3 in a little over a month! What happened to my baby?
How cute is he in his Sunday best?
He is talking and interacting so much more lately.
He can have the funniest little personality.
He's also starting the terrible 3's a little early. We're struggling on how to fix some things in that area.
He is completely potty trained. He hasn't wore a diaper or pull up in months. Even during nap time and bed time he stays dry! Well, most of the time. I do have to watch his liquids closer to bed time or we can have an accident.
He has also been without his "pooty" (Paci) for months.
He is still a very picky eater. His favorites are spaghettios, pizza (with no cheese), hot dogs, grilled cheese, french fries, grits, bbq chips, gold fish, oreos and milk!
He weighs 33 pounds.
He loves to be outside.
He still loves his sleep.
He loves his baby brother.
His favorite shows are Max & Ruby & Caillou.
He is my snuggle bug! He definitely has a little attitude but when it comes down to it, he loves to snuggle with his mommy.
I'm completely head over heels in love with this sweet boy!
As for Gunner, he'll be 10 months old in a couple weeks. I can't believe I've missed the last 2 months of his monthly stats. I really need to get caught up on that. I'll start here.
He is weighing in at 22 lbs 10 oz. Yes, we have a BIG boy on our hands.
He loves, loves, loves food. He'll eat just about anything you give him!
He's crawling around everywhere! He actually started crawling 2 days after his 9 month birthday!
He loves attention.
He's a MAJOR wiggle worm. He can't sit still for anything.
He loves his big brother. He's just now getting old enough to follow him around & try to do what he does. He loves taking baths with big brother!
He's been sleeping pretty good for a baby who stays SO sick. (knock on wood!!!) He still wakes up once or twice during the night sometimes, but usually goes right back to sleep. He goes down anywhere between 6:30-7:30 and usually wakes up between 5-5:15.
He's learned how to throw a ball. He's very proud of himself for it, too! I have a little video I'll try to get up soon.

He's starting pulling up on everything.
We had to lower his crib all the way to the bottom a couple nights ago.
This was making me nervous...
A little blurry but you get my point.
Gunner's ears have been a BIG problem the past 2 months. The poor baby has dealt with a double ear infection this whole time. We finally saw the ENT who confirmed he needed tubes since his ears didn't drain on their own. The only thing is, they scheduled his surgery almost 3 weeks out. So we're doing our best to keep him as comfortable as possible until then. Some days are hard. I can't imagine how hard it must be for him! We still have 9 more days to go! Please pray for us! :)
These babies are growing up WAY to fast. Next month I'll be planning a 3rd birthday and the month after I'll be planning a 1st! SO excited for both!
I am blessed to be their mama, for sure!
As for me, I've been broke down with a possible hair line fracture in my left ankle. I've been limping around looking like this for a little over a week.
Needless to say, my running/walking has been put on hold for a little while.
My DR has ordered physical therapy twice a week for the next 4 weeks. She says if I don't do the PT, it might not ever heal properly and I could have issues every time I try to exercise in the future if it doesn't heal correctly. I also have strict orders to keep it wrapped every day for the next week - 2 weeks and ice it twice daily. UGH! So much for trying to get in shape and lose weight! Guess I'll get back in my tennis shoes once it heals!
Other than dealing with my foot I have been enjoying some time in the sun. Shopping with my boys. Picture taking with Gunner. Catching up with a few old friends and working.
We are also headed down to Florida at the end of the month. I am counting down the days!!! Can't wait to see my family and get in some beach time with my boys!
I'd be surprised if anyone is still with me after all that blabbing!
Ha!
Happy Monday, friends!

Awww!!! Gunner is getting soooo big! And his hair has grown so much, it makes him look even older than he is! Love your updates! Stay off that foot as much as possible, I know, it's hard with the kiddos, but you know what I mean!!
ReplyDeleteTuff and Gunner are just too cute! I LOVE Tuff's tie! Your poor ankle!! Bless your heart!!
ReplyDeleteI know Gunner (and you!) will be so relieved to get the ear tubes. I remember it being so scary, but it was over in no time and helped so much. Recovery room was a bit overwhelming, but he was fine.
Lana, your the 2nd person TODAY to tell me that about the recovery room. Can't say I'm looking foward to that part of it! :(
ReplyDeleteTuff is really starting to show that little personality. Gunner & him both are so cute. Hope your ankle gets well soon. I feel so bad for Gunner's little ears, bless him!
