Tuff update

My boys have really been growing up, right before my eyes lately. Tuff is 3 and a half going on 10. He's started calling me "Mom" and Jordan says he's been calling him "Dad." Sometimes the way he uses it makes me giggle and sometimes it literally breaks my heart. Like makes my heart physically ache. Sometimes I stop and stare at him and wonder where my itty bitty baby went? I found this picture the other day....

and I may have had a little pity party after finding it. How is that sweet little squishy faced baby 3 and a half already?

Tuff is a special child. He's very smart and intelligent. He amazes me on a daily basis. He tends to be a little bit of a loner though. He usually perfers to play alone. But he stays so focused on whatever it is he's doing. He's always doing his best and always seems to be so proud of himself when he's finished whatever it may be he's working on. He loves to build cities/towns with all his toy cars, blocks and figures.

One thing is for sure, this boy has a very special heart. He's always thinking about everyone else aside from himself. If he's playing and he's building or making, he's always making something for everyone he can think of. He loves his little brother, too. Of course we go through our normal daily struggles with sharing and hitting and fighting but at the end of the day, he loves his little brother.

We made a big decision last weekend and decided to sign him up for t-ball. Santa brought him a real baseball, bat and glove for Christmas this year.

He's been asking me about it for a while and every time we talked about it he would say he wanted to play. Last Friday night we had another talk and when I agreed that we'd sign him up he said "Thank you MOM, Love you MOM!" <Insert> heart aching "Mom" moment I was telling you all about.

I feel so very blessed to have this amazing 3 year old in my life who calls me "mom" on a daily basis. The Lord sure knew what he was doing when he gave me this one!

Stay tuned for an update on my "maniac" aka Gunner!

Happy Friday, friends!
